At FBM, our modern delivery fleet, expanding national coverage and professional service results in an ever increasing ability to deliver quality construction products and value to every job site possible. We know our customers value time, efficiency and quality, so we are focused on timely delivery, executing our work efficiently and providing the best quality products available. Our building and construction products delivery fleet includes boom trucks, tractor trailers and forklifts to box trucks, flatbeds and pickups. Regardless of job location, scope or size, the FBM Fleet is capable of delivering what you need and when you need it.
Fleet Management and Maintenance
Effective fleet maintenance is critical to ensure safety, compliance, operational reliability and cost efficiency. Compliance with DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations for vehicle inspections is monitored by an independent consultant to ensure 100% of commercial vehicles are inspected daily. The Fleet and DOT Compliance Manager works closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Regional Vice Presidents and Branch Managers to coordinate and leverage strategic relationships for fleet vehicle purchases, leases, replacements and transfers of equipment among branches.

Foundation Building Materials takes an industry-leading approach in developing and promoting safety. The company’s employees are responsible for working in a manner that safeguards them, their co-workers and the customers they serve.
FBM works diligently with its employees and continually reinforces adherence to the highest safety standards. The effort begins immediately with new employees through a comprehensive orientation that focuses on safety awareness, risk identification, hazard communication and other essential safety protocols. Training is delivered through a variety of media, including online modules and classroom settings, so that managers can employ the method that bests fits the employees’ needs. Written programs and materials are also provided in Spanish.
FBM Safety Champions
The FBM Safety Champion plays a specific and highly critical role in FBM’s Safety Program. These key individuals are chosen from the best talent in each market/region/acquisition, the Safety Champions draw from their expertise and experiences to craft safety policies and procedures that apply best practices to FBM’s unique workplace exposures. These experienced individuals perform a range of safety related functions such as conducting regular on-site inspections of jobsites, warehouses and storage yards to identify hazards and recommend corrective measures. FBM Safety Champions also conduct regular inspections to make sure that emerging hazards and risks are identified and mitigation plans are implemented.

We are highly committed to a drug-free workplace and employs comprehensive drug and alcohol screening programs, ranging from pre-hire screening, post-accident screening, DOT random screening, for-cause screening and other screening to comply with the drug-free workplace regulations of various sites. These programs reinforce the company’s focus on workplace safety, creating a safer work environment and improve the welfare of its employees, customers and operating efficiency of it business.

A key member of the Safety Champions is the Fleet and DOT Compliance Manager, whose role it is to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations governing fleet operations as well as the application of best practices throughout the company.

Safety High Five
At FBM safety always comes first, that's why we created the Safety High Five. This consists of five key points: always think safety, engage all employees in our safety culture, train and educate on safety programs, work safely on the job and at home, and strive for zero incidents.
The company is committed to the safe use of cellphones and other electronic communication devices. FBM is focused on preventing distracted driving and has a comprehensive program regarding handheld mobile device use. Every employee in the company has signed a distracted driving pledge acknowledging they will not use handheld mobile devices while driving for company business. At FBM we value our people on and off the job, FBM also encourages its employees not to use handheld mobile devices while driving even when they are not working, Safety comes first!
